Laminated Wipe-Clean Placemats

A laminated mat is a printed sheet sandwiched between two clear films, and it fails in exactly one place: the cut edge. Water finds the raw laminate line, creeps between the layers, and lifts them — and once an edge is peeling, the mat is binned however good the print still looks.

So the edge is the specification. Sealed or radiused edges with a bonded margin beyond the print, so there is no raw sandwich for moisture to enter, and a corner radius that survives being stacked and dragged rather than a sharp corner that catches and lifts first.

The honest limit, stated up front: this is a wipe-clean mat, not a heat mat. A hot plate straight from a pass will mark or bubble a laminate, and if hot service ware goes down directly on the mat you want vinyl or a textile setting instead.
