We start by asking which of the four products you actually want.
Get Custom Placemats makes single-service printed paper, sealed-edge laminated wipe-clean mats, solid and woven vinyl, two-sided kids’ activity mats, felt-backed leather-look settings and multi-site programmes.

Paper, laminate, vinyl and textile all get called a placemat, and they are four different products with four different failure modes.
Buying the wrong one is the expensive mistake in this category — a laminate under hot plates, a vinyl where paper would have done, a textile setting with a printed logo shouting across a quiet room.
So the quote starts with the service, not the artwork.
Why we exist
Placemats are ordered by table count, specified by picture, and judged six weeks later when the corners lift.
Covers, edge construction and heat exposure decide all of it, and almost nobody is asked about any of the three.
It is a cover, not a table
A placemat is one diner’s rectangle, so quantity is covers per service multiplied by the days of stock you want to hold.
Counting tables is how a group runs short by Friday and reorders in a panic.
Read from one fixed seat
Unlike a runner, a placemat has a settled orientation: it is looked at from a single angle, at a fixed reading distance, for the length of a meal.
That means the artwork can be laid out for the person sitting at it rather than compromised for the room.
The failure is always the edge
On a laminate, water finds the cut edge, creeps between the layers and lifts them. A peeling mat gets binned while the print is still perfect.
Sealed or radiused edges with a bonded margin beyond the print remove the entry point entirely.
Wipe-clean is not heatproof
A hot plate straight off the pass marks and bubbles a laminate.
If hot service ware lands on the mat, the answer is vinyl or a textile setting, and we will say so before quoting.
Vinyl has no layers to lose
A single material all the way through cannot delaminate, which is why vinyl dominates settings used daily for years.
The trade is print: a woven surface softens fine detail, so we show you your own logo on the weave first.
At the top end, the mat is part of the room
Faux leather, felt backing, colourways matched to the interior, and a debossed mark that reads only when the light catches it.
A loud printed logo on a fine-dining setting makes a beautiful room look like a promotion.
What we will talk you out of
Laminate under hot plates. Heavy paper for something that leaves in a bin bag. A dark, heavily-inked kids’ activity side. A printed colour logo on a leather setting. Splitting group stock evenly instead of by covers.
Each refusal costs an order occasionally and costs trust never.
